User Guide
This guide explains the basic usage of 神社マップ.
1. Search for Shrines
Use the search bar at the top of the screen to find shrines.
- Search by name: Enter shrine names like "Meiji Jingu" or "Fushimi Inari Taisha"
- Search by location: Enter prefecture or city names like "Tokyo" or "Kyoto"
- Search by deity: Enter deity names like "Amaterasu" or "Inari"
※ Search results update in real-time as you type
2. Use Filters
Click the "Filter" button to narrow down shrines by various criteria.
Filter by Location
Select a prefecture to show only shrines in that region. You can further filter by city.
Filter by Deity
Find shrines that enshrine specific deities.
Filter by Rank
Filter by shrine rank (such as Kanpei Taisha or Kokuhei Taisha).
Filter by Amenities
Filter by Goshuin availability, parking, barrier-free access, 24-hour worship, etc.
Filter by Tags
Select from categories like "Rank & History," "Benefits," or "Nature & Scenery."
※ You can combine multiple filters
※ Use "Reset Filters" to clear all conditions
3. Find Shrines on the Map
Shrines are displayed as markers on the map.
- Click a marker to view shrine details
- Drag the map to move, scroll to zoom in/out
- On mobile, use pinch gestures to zoom
4. View Shrine Details
Click a shrine marker or list item to view detailed information.
Available Information:
- Shrine overview and description
- Enshrined deities
- Shrine rank
- Founded year
- Worship hours
- Address and access
- Amenities (Goshuin, parking, etc.)
- Photo gallery
5. Save to Favorites
Save interesting shrines to view them later.
How to save:
- Open a shrine's detail page
- Click the "Save" button
- The button changes to "Saved"
View favorites:
Click the bookmark icon in the upper right corner to view only your saved shrines.
※ Favorite information is stored in your browser
※ Favorites will be deleted if you clear browser data
6. Use Route Guidance
Find directions to a shrine.
- Open a shrine's detail page
- Click the "Directions" button
- Google Maps opens with a route from your current location
💡 Usage Tips
- • When planning a trip, filter by region and save multiple shrines to favorites
- • If you worship specific deities, use the deity filter
- • For Goshuin collectors, use the "Goshuin" amenity filter
- • If driving, check the "Parking" amenity filter beforehand
